Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights... James 1:17 ESV

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving...1 Timothy 4:4 ESV

For most people, fall or autumn ushers in a slower pace of life. The hustle and bustle of the goings on slow to a not so busy rush. The cooler air of the morning provides an immediate refresh each day as joy appears as the frost fades to only dew. We can take a deep sigh and let it out, allowing it to fall as the leaves do. And because the sun fades before dinner instead of after, there is more time for snuggling and spending time with those we love. For me, fall immediately means Thanksgiving! And when I think of Thanksgiving, naturally I think of all the things I am thankful for. All of my blessings! All of the blessings that God has graciously given to me. Often in the busy seasons of life we find it harder to notice all of these things...all of the love, the grace, the little things, the big things, the things we do not deserve. The rush keeps us occupied and sometimes we don't even notice that we've not thanked God lately. We take for granted the things that mean the most.

As you spend time in God's word, reading or journaling, I want to challenge you to really take account or better yet spend time harvesting His love, dIgging it out of places we have it burried and gathering it back into our hearts and minds. Count your blessings...EVERY SINGLE ONE! For nothing that is good does not come from above! Thank Him for it all!
